The Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF) is a group of experts established by the European Commission in 2015 to assist the Commission in implementing the Union’s activities and programmes aimed at promoting a more efficient exchange of electronic information in transport and logistics. The Forum will provide a platform for structural dialogue, technical information exchange, cooperation and coordination between the Commission, Member States and relevant transport and logistics stakeholders.
The DTLF consists of two sub-working groups: SG1 “Paperless Transport” and SG2 “Digital Corridor Information Systems”. SG1 aims to establish a set of related recommendations on EU support to enable further digitisation of information exchange for regulatory compliance purposes in transport and logistics. Furthermore, SG2 aims at creating a federated network of IT platforms to share data with two main characteristics: having a single entry point for organisations (companies and authorities) and ensuring interoperability between the different platforms involved in transport and logistics operations.
The Fundación Valenciaport actively participates in the “Plug & Play” work team of sub-group 2 of the DTLF. More specifically, it collaborates to develop the necessary concepts and procedures to enable individual stakeholders to register and connect with service providers and thus share data in accordance with pre-established common agreements.
