Valencia, 14 August 2023. – The students of the Fundación Valenciaport’s joint Train Driver’s Licence and Driving Diploma programme are beginning their practical training. After successfully completing the first theoretical training module, which covered a total of 650 hours, and passing the corresponding theoretical exam, the students are now ready to move on to practical training as future train drivers.
The practical stage will be spread over 500 hours, divided into actual driving practices on board CSP Logitren trains, with whom the Fundación Valenciaport has a training agreement, and other practices in simulators, workshops and visits that will complete their training.
This new stage begins with the first 40 hours of supervised practice that the students carry out under the guidance of the expert José Cantero, Logitren’s Head of Safety and Training, and coordinated by the training team of the Fundación Valenciaport, responsible for the first railway school linked to a port and training centre approved by the State Agency for Railway Safety.
