The FAITH project aims to promote the development and adoption of reliable and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in various domains, such as healthcare, education, transport and critical infrastructure management.
In order to do so, it seeks to create a human-centric reliability management ecosystem, which will provide AI practitioners, industrial actors, end-users and stakeholders with operational tools to ensure, assess and monitor reliability in AI and/or Robotics applications throughout the entire lifecycle of an AI System.
The ecosystem will be composed of FAITH AI_TAF, a reliability assessment framework, and FAITH Trustworthiness Evaluation Infrastructure, a risk assessment framework.
The FAITH project will conduct 14 large-scale pilots in 7 critical domains (robotics, education, media, transport, healthcare, active ageing and industry) to demonstrate that FAITH’s holistic trustworthiness estimation can be employed in a wide range of domains.
The initiative will run for 4 years, from January 2024 to January 2028, and is funded by the Horizon Europe programme and managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
As for the role of Fundación Valenciaport, it will contribute to the project by leveraging its experience in maritime port logistics and AI applications in the logistics sector. In addition, it will participate in the development of use cases for AI within the maritime port industry and contribute to the validation of FAITH AI_TAF in that context.
In terms of pilot development, Fundación Valenciaport will lead the implementation of two large-scale pilots of maritime and/or underwater drones to inspect port infrastructure and evaluate the data obtained, as well as the severity of the damage.
