Opentop holds the Pitch Day of the port security challenge proposed by Valenciaport

Valencia, March 22nd, 2024 -. Opentop, Valenciaport’s open innovation hub, yesterday evaluated the proposals of the startups shortlisted for the challenge proposed by the Port Authority of Valencia “Situational awareness of port police in the Port of Valencia: the case of dangerous goods”.

The startups Synnect, Quasar Dynamics, Actiontracker and Panssari defended yesterday, during the Pitch Day of the APV challenge, their solutions before a professional committee to opt to be part of the Business Growth Program of Opentop.

The startup finally selected will be announced at the end of March to start the program the first week of April together with the startup selected to face the challenge proposed by ARSINOE “Adapting ports to climate change”, which will also be announced soon.

The initiative also continues to look for innovative start-ups with two other port logistics challenges. On the one hand, the challenge proposed by Infoport “AI to connect different information systems in transport and port logistics” for which startups can register until 31 March. And on the other hand, the challenge launched last week by Opentop “Port energy transition and decarbonisation”, for which registrations will remain open until 14 April.

The selected startups will have access to continuous contact with the leading companies in the sector, and will work hand in hand with them to develop solutions to real challenges already identified by the corporations.

In addition, the startups will validate their use cases with a wide network of mentors and professionals in a personalised programme in which they will receive an exhaustive assessment to focus on the needs identified, as well as the opportunity to find synergies with the rest of the startups in the Opentop ecosystem.

Startups shortlisted for the Valenciaport challenge

Synnect will present its “RADIANT” solution, which allows the detection, monitoring and traceability of assets in real time in ports, using only remote camera and LiDAR measurements.

Quasar Dynamics is a developer leveraging emerging technologies to connect your business with pioneering solutions.

Actiontracker helps workers and organisations improve safety, security and operations management for workers, vehicles, vessels and assets.

And finally, Panssari consists of three technology modules for access control, intrusion detection and surveillance in port facilities.
