Valencia, May 8th, 2024. – Last week 29 Brazilian professionals from port companies and labour management bodies came to Fundación Valenciaport’s facilities to take the “International Certificate in Port Labour Management Models” programme, an initiative promoted by the National Federation of Port Operations.
The programme, which was inaugurated by Antonio Torregrosa, managing director of Fundación Valenciaport; Francesc Sánchez, president of Fundación Valenciaport; and Ana Rumbeu, Training director of Fundación Valenciaport, had as its main objective to introduce the participants to the Spanish port system, the stevedoring management model and the new trends in the sector in training and automation.
During the course, the professionals of the Brazilian sector had the opportunity to listen to the secretary general of ANESCO on the evolution of the working model in Spain, as well as to learn about the operation of the management model of the public terminal of CSP Spain in Valencia, as well as the management model of a private terminal, such as that of MSC.
The programme concluded with the closing ceremony, in which Ana Rumbeu, Training Director of Fundación Valenciaport, and Jonas Mendes Constante, Senior Consultant in Port Innovation and Strategy, presented the diplomas to the participants.
This course represented a new opportunity to establish contacts with the Brazilian ports and to identify possible collaborations in various fields, especially in the field of training.
