Opentop, Valenciaport Innovation Hub, led by Fundación Valenciaport, founded the Port Innovators Network (PIN) along with the innovation hubs of the Port of Hamburg (homeport) and the Port of Halifax (The PIER). The PIN was launched in October 2023 at the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress, organised by Opentop, an exclusive event that gathers experts and key figures in entrepreneurship in the maritime and port logistics sector, from other international ports and port innovation hubs, VC investors, corporates and international startups. Since then, PIN has launched new activities, and new members are joining PIN, as first steps to become the global alliance of port innovators.

The Port Innovators Network aims to boost the adoption of innovation in the port ecosystem and supply chains at a global scale, by sharing innovative ideas, innovation projects results, innovation experiences, pathways to commercialization, methodologies and best practices between the communities and members of the PIN.

To do so, the PIN develops activities that link port innovation communities, connecting members (startups, entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, research and academia) from each hub within the organizations of the other hubs, as well with its port innovation communities
