The objective of the MEDIATE “Multi facEteD ImplementAtion of a mixed sofTwarE/hardware-based zero-trust framework for the computing continuum” project is to produce a resilient technology that addresses the security and privacy attributes of the computing continuum by ensuring the flow and security of freight traffic information.

To this end, MEDIATE will propose a complex architecture that is based on the concept of “zero trust” and will assume a federated learning approach to perform security-based scrutiny at all levels of the continuum, i.e. IoT, edge and cloud, using security models that can be updated, redeployed and reconfigured throughout the system.

The actual features of the MEDIATE framework will support key deliverables on topics such as cybersecurity resilience, through reconfiguration; vulnerability mitigation, through cyber threat analysis; secure integration at the IoT level, through software and hardware-based security sensors; and trust and security for massive ecosystems, through the use of federated or collaborative learning-based orchestration.

In addition, it will have AI-based tools for cyber threat intelligence to assist a decision support system and privacy policies for data and identity protection.

Fundación Valenciaport participates in the MEDIATE project by contributing its experience and knowledge of port logistics processes in the transport of goods and digital platforms used in the sector.
