Valencia, 15 November 2024. – The Fundación Valenciaport has launched a survey campaign at European level with the aim of finding out the real situation of companies in the port community, their business prospects, the professional profiles required and the training activities demanded by the sector in order to face the two major challenges of the port logistics sector: digital transformation and energy transition.

This initiative is part of the European project ‘NeXTraIn.PortS’, which seeks to promote the training and employment of professionals in the port logistics sector, define a training offer aligned with the new needs of the sector and promote the specialisation of professionals in an environment as complex as the port.

A presentation event is planned for the first quarter of 2025 in which the results will be shared at regional level, as well as the conclusions drawn.

Based on these results, a Professional Profiles Manual will be launched , which will be used to develop the necessary training pathways to train the cluster’s professionals in these key areas through the development of innovative competences and skills based on immersive reality and focused on logistics and port management, technical planning and management of goods and passenger handling, and port and logistics operational handling.
