Opentop is Valenciaport’s innovation hub, an initiative that connects startups and technology scaleups with corporations in the maritime, logistics and port sector to collaborate on innovation projects that will serve as an impetus to advance the sector’s dual energy and digital transition.
Opentop is an international benchmark in open innovation in the sector, the gateway for innovation and new technologies from startups and scaleups to the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandía, all three managed by the Port Authority of Valencia. Opentop analyzes industry trends, detects innovation challenges and connects with technology companies that can solve them. Through the Labs, it facilitates the testing and demonstration of new technologies in the real environment of the three ports.
Opentop carries out multiple activities to dynamize and boost the innovation of startups and scalups in Valenciaport, such as the Port Entrepreneurhip International Congress and the Valenciaport Hackathon.
It is a founding member of the international network of port innovation hubs Port Innovators Network (PIN), created in 2023 together with the innovation hubs of the ports of Hamburg (homePort) and Halifax (The PIER).
In addition, Opentop is present at major innovation events and is part of the local, national and international innovation ecosystem, collaborating with various initiatives, associations and alliances, such as the aforementioned Port Innovators Network, the Ports 4.0 program of Puertos del Estado, the Valencian startup association Startup Valencia, the All4Zero hub, etc.
