- With the students of the 3rd edition already in their internship phase, Fundación Valenciaport has just opened the registration period for the 4th edition of the program, whose classes will begin on May 5th
Valencia, March 20th, 2025. – Fundación Valenciaport has once again obtained excellent results in the last call for obtaining the Machinist License of the State Agency for Railway Safety (AESF), having achieved 100% pass rate of the students presented in the practical test, all belonging to the 2nd edition of its Machinist course.
It should be recalled that with the implementation of the ‘Program for the joint obtaining of Machinist License and Driving Diploma‘, Fundación Valenciaport became, in February 2023, the first training center approved by the AESF linked to a port, offering a training highly demanded by the sector.
The aim of the course is to prepare students to obtain the Driving License and Diploma that accredits the holder to drive trains on the General Interest Railway Network (RFIG), including a total of 1,150 teaching hours, of which 650 hours are devoted to theoretical training, and the other 500 hours to practical training by CSP Logitren, with whom the Foundation has signed a training agreement.
With the aim of achieving a better and more specialized training, students enjoy during the course of various visits, workshops, and training activities in the Port of Valencia and also in different railway facilities, such as visits to the facilities of Stadler, Trasbase Soler, CSP Logitren, the Railway Control Center of the Port of Valencia or the CTC of ADIF.
Registration for the 4th edition is now open
After the success of the 2nd edition and with the students of the 3rd edition already in the practical phase both in the simulator and on board Logitren trains, Fundación Valenciaport has just opened the registration period for the 4th edition of the program, whose classes will begin on May 5 and which will have a maximum of 20 students enrolled.
