Valencia – 21.03.19. The 25th edition of the Intermodal South America fair, held in São Paulo from 19 to 21 March, was the setting chosen for the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Brazilian Ministry of Infrastructure, the country’s port associations and the Fundación Valenciaport, for the Master’s Degree in Logistics and Port Management.

The Assistant Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Ministry of Infrastructure, Viviane Este, and the General Director of the Port Authority of Valencia, Francesc Sánchez, were responsible for signing this collaboration agreement on 19 March, which is committed to high-level training for all professionals in the logistics-port sector. A pioneering and reference programme specially designed for public officials of the Brazilian port administration and for professionals of the private companies of the Brazilian Port Community.

It is worth mentioning the participation in the agreement of the National Agency of Aquatic Transport (ANTAQ), in addition to the following associations and representative entities of the sector Brazilian Association of Port and Waterway Entities (ABEPH), National Federation of Port Operators (FENOP), Brazilian Association of Port Terminals (ABTP), Brazilian Association of Private Port Terminals (ATP), Brazilian Association of Specialized Container Terminals (ABRATEC) and Brazilian Association of Liquid Terminals (ABTL).

The Fundación Valenciaport thanked the Brazilian public and private port sector for trusting it to train its directors, thus welcoming Brazil as a member of the alliance of countries that is formed annually in its Master’s Degree in Logistics and Port Management, a successful programme that is a reference in the world.

The Master in Logistics and Port Management, which is scheduled to begin in September this year, is directed by the Fundación Valenciaport and endorsed by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV). It is an innovative programme that is presented as a top-level academic proposal and includes 66% online classes (taught through the Virtual Classroom platform) and 34% face-to-face classes (6 weeks in Brazil, and 1 week in the Port of Valencia).
