The project’s objectives are the improvement of the connection between the port and the port community (through an electronic platform), the optimization of operations and the exchange of information between the agents involved in the flow of ships, the enhancement of the digital security in the Ports of Paraná and also the talent development of the employees of the port authority.
To achieve these goals, four initiatives are planned:
Initiative 1: Design of a Port Community System (PCS).
The international technical assistance will accompany Portos do Paraná throughout the process of digital transformation, from the diagnosis of the current situation to the technical design of a PCS.
Initiative 2: Development of a PortCDM technological platform.
The process will guarantee an improvement in the operations and also in the exchange of information carried out by the agents involved in the process of entry and exit of ships in the Ports of Paraná. The aim of this step is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the ports in these operations. In order to guarantee the success of this stage, the team of Fundación Valenciaport will keep up with the diagnosis of the current situation to the technical implementation of Port CDM.
Initiative 3: Diagnosis and proposals for port cybersecurity.
This step has the main objective of reviewing the current situation of the business processes of Ports of Paraná from a digital security perspective. The goal is to define a series of actions and initiatives that guarantee adequate digital protection for the port authority and its assets.
Initiative 4: Training program in strategic port management.
This initiative will be delivered through three modules, which will address relevant topics such as strategic management, talent management, relations between the port and the environment and digital transformation and innovation in ports, among other topics.
