Valencia – 04.11.21. Last Friday, Fundación Valenciaport held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the public company Portos do Paraná (Brazil) in which it presented the results of the technical collaboration carried out for this port authority, responsible for the management of the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina, the second largest port complex in Brazil.
During the meeting, the director of International Development of Fundación Valenciaport, Miguel Garín Alemany, and the project director, Jonas Mendes Constante, presented the results obtained over the last year, including the design of the Port Community System Portos do Paraná; the cybersecurity diagnosis and action plan; and the design and implementation of the first PortCDM (Port Collaborative Decision Making) in Latin America.
Those responsible for the project thanked, once again, “the support of the port’s directors and its port community, without whom it would not be possible to obtain these fantastic results in such a short time”. For his part, the president of the port council and also National Secretary of Ports of Brazil, Diogo Piloni, underlined “the importance of the cooperation that the port and his country have maintained for some years now with Fundación Valenciaport” and congratulated the whole team for the excellent work carried out.
During the meeting, Fundación Valenciaport also thanked the President of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando, the head of the project, Carlos Assis, and all his team for their support during this first year of cooperation.
It is planned that in February 2022, training will be given to managers and middle management of the port authority on issues of digital transformation, cybersecurity, port innovation, strategy, environment and port management.
