The Interport R&D&I Commission comprises representatives of the State Ports and the 28 Port Authorities in the system. Its primary mission is to promote cross-sectoral cooperation in R&D&I subjects of common interest to the entire State Port System (SPTE).
As part of the COMIDI project, three initiatives were promoted for development within the Interport R&D&I Commission:
- The implementation of a first Working Group (WG0). Under the name of “Client service (Port-logistics chain and Port Services), tools for its improvement and development (ICTs)”, its purpose was, on the one hand, to ensure the continuity of the work of the Commission, and on the other, to foster the future implementation of more specialized groups as new needs were detected.
- The drafting of a methodological proposal for the Consolidated Knowledge Guides by Thematic Areas, which constitute a planning and structuring component of the system and become the common thread linking the actions in the field of R&D&I.
- The creation of a website, in line with the need to create agile communication procedures that systematize the mechanisms of dialogue between those in different levels of the Coordination Structure of the R&D&I activities of the Spanish Port System.
