The Fundación Valenciaport will analyse the movement of goods in temporary storage in its next webinar

Valencia – 12.06.20. On 17th June at 17:00 hrs. the eighth port logistics webinar will be held, organised by the Fundación Valenciaport, under the title “Movements of goods in temporary storage between different Temporary Storage Facilities (G5-CUB) Movements of containers in maritime terminals”, which will be given by Dídac Salazar, representative of the Customs Administration and II.EE. of Valencia Marítima.

This webinar will analyze, from different perspectives, how the movement of temporary storage goods between different Temporary Storage Facilities is a relevant tool for the purposes of managing the logistics linked to the import of a good. The customs management of these movements presents important new features as a result of the provisions contained in Regulation (EU) No 952/2013 of the European Parliament and the Council of 9 October 2013, which establishes the Union’s customs code and the development of new computer functions by the State Agency of Tax Administration (AEAT). These new features will be discussed in the first part of the webinar.

In addition, holders of temporary storage facilities assume, among other obligations, that of ensuring that goods in temporary storage do not escape customs supervision. In the case of the temporary storage facilities at maritime terminals, the AEAT has developed a web service to assist them in complying with this obligation. This system has generated some doubts regarding the information provided, which will also be dealt with in this webinar.

It should be remembered that this activity is part of the series of free webinars on the main trends in the port logistics cluster launched by the Fundación Valenciaport last April. These webinars are held every two weeks to alternate with the new cycle of webinars organised by the Fundación Valenciaport in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP).
