Valencia – 19.10.21. The inauguration of the 1st edition of the Master in Logistics and Port Management in Veracruz (Mexico) took place yesterday afternoon. The programme is directed by Fundación Valenciaport and endorsed by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), which will be taught in blended learning mode and has the support of Grupo Krom, a 100% Mexican operator of specialised services in customs, foreign trade and international logistics.
The opening ceremony was attended by Luis de la Cruz Reyes, Director of the KROM Group; Manuel Reynaud Agiss and Baruc de la Fuente, President and Director respectively of the Association of Port Actors; Francesc Sánchez, General Director of the Port Authority of Valencia; and Miguel Garín Alemany and Ana Rumbeu Daviu, Director of International Business Development and Director of Training, both from Fundación Valenciaport.
This first edition is made up of 16 students who will be trained for 500 hours in the different subjects included in the programme, culminating with the presentation of the final Master’s projects. The classes will take place in a mixed format, 66% online and 34% face-to-face, for a total of 6 weeks of face-to-face training, given in Veracruz, and one in Valencia, which will take place, health conditions permitting, in the month of May 2022.
This Master, which has already been successfully delivered in Argentina and Brazil, will address the knowledge, both conceptual and practical, that will enable students to acquire the necessary skills to develop managerial functions in the field of logistics and port management. The programme is structured in different subjects including: maritime traffic; transport infrastructures and means of transport; port planning and management; business management applied to the port environment; production and logistics; supply chain strategy; as well as logistics and supply chain techniques.
The teaching staff is made up of professors from the Universitat Politècnica de València with proven international teaching experience and professionals from the port logistics sector linked to Fundación Valenciaport, the Port Authority of Valencia and companies from the port logistics sector in Valencia. There will also be the participation of local teachers in face-to-face modules, who will share sessions with the international teachers.
