Valencia, 4 November 2022. – The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has once again requested the services of Fundación Valenciaport, this time to carry out a study to promote the improvement of port productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The technical assistance aims to identify, supported by digital technologies and solutions, the opportunities for improvement in the productivity of the ports of Caldera in Costa Rica, Puerto Haina in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Cortés in Honduras and Puerto Acajutla in El Salvador, where different visits and interviews will be carried out. Subsequently, recommendations will be made for practical measures aimed at achieving the efficiency improvements identified.
This project, led by the Director of International Development of Fundación Valenciaport, Miguel Garín, also counts on the participation and on-site management of Carlos José González, collaborator and consultant of Fundación Valenciaport in Latin America and former student of the Master in Logistics and Port Management, a programme taught by this entity.
