Valencia, June 12th, 2024. – Logistop and Fundación Valenciaport are joining forces to carry out LogisPort: Innovation and 4.0 technologies in the new digital and sustainable logistics, a face-to-face event to be held on 20 June at the headquarters of the Port Authority of Valencia, which will bring together leading professionals and experts from the logistics-port sector to analyse and discuss the present and future of innovation in the sector, focusing on the trends that are currently taking hold and making headway.
This initiative is part of the joint strategy of both organisations to strengthen the competitiveness, digitisation and sustainability of companies in the logistics-port community, promoting innovative and collaborative measures.
The day will begin with an institutional opening by representatives of the sector, followed by several round tables that will address crucial issues. Among them, the logistics-port challenges in the current geopolitical and business context will be discussed, with the participation of leaders such as Jaime Gimeno, Director of Business Development at Ership, Jorge Alonso, President and CEO of the Alonso Group and Javier Romeu, CEO of TIBA. Another round table will focus on the present and future of environmental sustainability in Spanish ports, with experts such as Federico Torres (Port Authority of Valencia) and María José Rubio (Port Authority of Castellón) Fermín Rol (Port Authority of Cartagena) and Mercedes de Juan (Port Authority of Alicante).
The digital revolution in the logistics-port sector will also be addressed: emerging technologies and applications, by Jaime Luezas, Head of the Port Community Services Area, Puertos del Estado, Miguel Llop, Director of Digital Transformation, Fundación Valenciaport, Estíbaliz Loyo, Director of Intelligent Systems for Mobility and Logistics, Vicomtech and Ana Llorens, Director of Operations, PortSur Castellón.
