- The Master’s Open Day, organized by Fundación Valenciaport, kicked off the registration period for the 34th edition of the program.
- With an employability rate close to 100%, the MGPT represents a great opportunity to access the labor market in the case of recent graduates and to boost the professional projection of those already working in the sector.
Valencia, March 27th, 2025. – During yesterday afternoon, the Open Day of the 34th edition of the Master in Port Management and Intermodal Transport (MGPT) was held at the Port of Valencia, kicking off the registration period of the program, which will begin in October 2025.
The event, organized by Fundación Valenciaport, was attended by fifty people interested in taking this postgraduate course, already consolidated as the most prestigious international program of specialization in ports, logistics and transport, taught in Spanish.
The first part of the day was led by Francesc Sanchez, president of Fundación Valenciaport, who welcomed the attendees and made a brief presentation of the Port of Valencia, where the master’s degree will be taught and in whose companies future students of the program will be able to begin their professional careers.
Then, Pepe Aguilar, Professor of Planning and Operation at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), presented the curriculum and general operation of the postgraduate course, owned by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), directed by Fundación Valenciaport, and own title of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
Meanwhile, Ana Rumbeu, Director of Training at Fundación Valenciaport, shared with interested parties the scholarships available, and presented key information about the program, including the various practical activities that complement the 600 hours of the Master’s course, such as workshops and conferences on the latest trends in innovation in the sector; more than 20 visits to port facilities, including the ports of Valencia, Alicante, Castellón and Sagunto; outdoor training activities; teamwork sessions, and an international module taught in London, among others.
In this 34th edition, which will begin next October, digital transformation and energy transition in ports will be the main topics of the training program, structured around 8 subjects that respond to the needs of the logistics-port sector: Management and team leadership; Foreign trade and internationalization; Maritime traffic and maritime law; Transport; Port planning; Port management; Docks and terminals, and, finally, the Final Master’s Thesis (TFM).
With the aim of bringing future students closer to these needs, the day concluded with a boat trip to the Port of Valencia, where the participants were able to see the main facilities and terminals first hand.
