The overall aim of this international technical assistance project was to design a Port Community System (PCS) and review the information technologies and systems plan for the Port of Buenos Aires.
Through the design of the PCS, this international technical assistance project managed to place the Port of Buenos Aires in the third stage of the digital transformation process for ports, referred to as the connected port community. Along with the review of the information technologies and systems plan, this allowed the foundations to be laid for its future evolution towards a fully connected port community or Smart Port
In order to successfully achieve this objective, the work to be done was structured into the following activities:
- ACTIVITY 1: Joint review of the current situation and identification of needs
- ACTIVITY 2: Joint review of the information technologies and systems plan.
- ACTIVITY 3: Joint design of the Port of Buenos Aires PCS
- ACTIVITY 4: Joint drafting of the terms of reference for the Port of Buenos Aires PCS.
