Promoting the implementation of CSR is a response to the PAV’s desire to strengthen its model of contributing to sustainable development, based on a series of principles that guide its strategic management, including the drive to ensure social responsibility.
This project coordinates the actions undertaken in different areas and structures them in various lines of work. These initiatives are put in place to improve governance and to generally reinforce context-specific socially-responsible management of social, labour and environmental issues. This fosters a corporate culture that takes into account relevant socially-responsible criteria when making the decisions that are key for the future viability of the organization and its environment.
The framework of this project incorporates multiple shared actions carried out by both organizations to promote the diffusion of CSR among the port community. These initiatives range from proposals for integration, monitoring, measurement and reporting on strategy management, to joint social, workplace and/or environmental activities, as well as collaboration with stakeholders.
The actions included seek to provide a meeting space and an accessible reference that will enhance the ability to overcome the current conditions affecting wellbeing in the Valenciaport area of influence. Thus, with the involvement of the port community, the appropriate context can be created to achieve the objectives set out in Agenda 2030.
