TRAMA is an initiative in the form of a study project (preparatory, testing and validation activities), aimed at optimising traffic management in the Port of Valencia, a key hub for Spanish multimodal traffic.

Focusing on both maritime and land transport (road and rail), the initiative will enhance digital platforms, using new technologies and innovation, to improve the capacity of transport infrastructures and services, while promoting modal integration.

Key objectives of the project include enhancing Valenciaport’s PCS, improving communication between transport stakeholders and optimising terminal operations management systems (TOS).

TRAMA will ensure full compatibility and interoperability of digital systems (TOS, PCS, SIMPLE Platform) through the application of ICT4.0 standards, and will consider the necessary modifications to be made in the freight sector to adapt to the important changes derived from the new requirements established in the related European regulations (e.g. EMSWe, eFTI).

Finally, a Cost Benefit Analysis and a market implementation strategy will be developed to ensure the replicability and deployment of the project results, not only in other terminals of the Port of Valencia, but also in other EU ports, thus multiplying its impact.
