Improved processes View projects Logistics chains are becoming increasingly global, complex and challenging. The only possible response to satisfy the new requirements of both the organizations who provide logistics services and the end customers is to improve business, transport and logistics processes.

Fundación Valenciaport boasts a broad experience in projects aimed at improving processes in the port logistics environment involving a wide range of agents from both the private and public sectors. It is also well-practised in the design and implementation of innovative solutions that take advantage of the potential of new technologies and can be adapted to the needs and characteristics of each specific case. Container logistics procedures and the organization of ground transport to tackle issues such as congestion, something which almost all ports have to deal with, are just some of the areas where Fundación Valenciaport has a proven track record.

Infrastructure planning View projects Transport and logistics infrastructure planning requires rigorous research and analysis, which includes knowledge about the institutional and regulatory framework, the creation of traffic forecasting, transport and logistics modelling, the analysis of the structure and urban-planning constraints, the support of geographical information systems as well as multicriteria analysis, environmental impact and financial studies, etc.
Fundación Valenciaport has extensive experience in supporting governments and institutions in the development of transport and logistics infrastructures and the definition of development strategies for an intermodal transport system capable of integrating and achieving complementarity between the different modes of transport.

Intermodality and synchromodality View projects The efficiency of logistics chains requires the development of an integrated and intermodal transport system. Furthermore, in recent years thanks to technological progress and digital transformation, it is also now possible to talk of the synchromodality of the logistics and transport chains.
Fundación Valenciaport has a depth of experience running projects with the port and railway sectors, which help to improve the integration, coordination and synchronization between different modes of transport. The projects include not only improvements to infrastructures but also improvements to operations, processes and associated information systems (involving all stakeholders), and the design of incentive systems or new concepts and business models that help to further develop intermodal transport.

Terminals View projects The terminals are key hubs of the intermodal logistics and transport systems where cargo transfer occurs between the different modes of transport such as maritime transport and railways, among others. The efficiency of the global transport chain depends to a large extent on the efficiency of the underlying operations at the port and intermodal terminals.
Fundación Valenciaport works with the main terminal operators (containers, Ro-ro, multipurpose and bulk) and with the manufacturers of the equipment and software suppliers in the design, testing and implementation of innovative solutions that help to improve operational performance, increasing their productivity, efficiency, reliability and sustainability.
