Fundación Valenciaport

The opportunity to receive training at the Fundación Valenciaport represented a turning point in my professional career. Not only did it open my eyes to discover that part of my sector beyond my day-to-day work, but it also brought me into contact with great professionals, both students and teachers with whom I still keep in touch. We are also grateful for the great flexibility of the Fundación Valenciaport in even being able to design a course “ad hoc” for a company or group of companies.

For the logistics-port sector, represented by Propeller Valencia, training and qualification of human resources is a strategic pillar. We understand our collaboration with the Fundación Valenciaport as a long term strategic alliance with concrete results of mutual benefit for the parties.

The joint annual seminars have been a successful representation of our cooperation, which supported our knowledge sharing target, excellent representative of the North Mediterranean and Port Training Institute for the South Mediterranean, and the Arab Region as well. Furthermore, our Annual International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference “Marlog” has Fundación Valenciaport and their experts as a greatly valued co-organizer.

The collaboration between UPV and Fundación Valenciaport is a strategic opportunity to strengthen the relationship with companies for the benefit of this knowledge society. We share a commitment to training people at the highest level in order to enhance their skills, with quality, rigour and ethics, advancing knowledge, innovation and technology transfer and the relationship with our socio-economic environment in order to contribute to development.

For the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) of the Organization of American States, the strategic alliance with the Fundación Valenciaport is one of the most important in terms of first-rate academic programs. Thanks to this relationship, the training received by port professionals from practically all Latin American countries has had a positive impact on their professional development and today they occupy decision-making positions in their different countries.

Under the point of view of professional training and thanks to the good interaction between both organizations, the Association of Freight Forwarders of Valencia (ATEIA) is in debt with the Fundación Valenciaport. ATEIA has not had to leave the port to find an answer to the continuous “formative inputs” that have been faced throughout the last 20 years… in other words, the alliance has been strategic for us.

The main objective of the Juan Arizo Serrulla Foundation is to contribute to the comprehensive training of engineering professionals, for which the collaboration with the Fundación Valenciaport through the announcement of Scholarships and Awards, is strategic to achieve our goals.
