Course objectives
The Master’s Degree will address the conceptual and practical knowledge that will enable students to acquire the necessary competencies for the development of management functions in the field of logistics and port management.
The programme offers postgraduate training in Logistics and Port Management for executives, directors and managers in the Brazilian logistics sector.
As a result of the technical cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Infrastructure, entities of the sector and Fundación Valenciaport, this course has been held for 29 years in Spain and with outlets in the main ports, governments and institutions of the logistics-port world, it will be held for the second time in Brazil.
It is a Master of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Fundación Valenciaport, an entity linked to the Port Authority of Valencia, internationally recognised as a leading organisation in innovation and management applied to port logistics.
The objectives of the master’s degree are:
- To deepen in the main aspects related to the transport of cargo by sea from different points of view: administrative, operational, economic, environmental, legal and political.
- To learn modern strategies for identifying and designing alternatives in supply chain logistics.
- To gain an in-depth knowledge of the role played by ports within the transport logistics cycle and the supply chain of organisations.
- To understand how the world’s major ports have designed their trade, exploration and port development.
- To know and understand how to apply 4.0 technologies to improve the competitiveness of ports, terminals and companies linked to port logistics.

Programme
The Master’s Programme is divided into 7 subjects plus the Master’s thesis, which are further divided into subjects.
Teaching team
After completing the course period, having passed all the subjects and having passed the Master’s Final Project, the Universitat Politècnica de València will award the Master’s Degree in Logistics and Port Management (MLGP).

- To be admitted to the Master’s degree, students must hold a university degree.
- Having at least 3 years of professional experience in organisations related to the subjects of this programme.
- Having their curriculum vitae approved by the Programme Management Committee.
